Since 1976, the Canton Rugby Football Club (CRFC) has been promoting the development of national amateur rugby in the Stark County area. The CRFC Foundation was created in 2004, to support the advancement of youth rugby in the Stark County area.

Through volunteer work and 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable donations, CRFC Foundation members have been instrumental in establishing local high school, middle school, and K-5 Flag teams for area youth to build upon the success of the Canton Rugby Men's team. The CRFC Foundation will continue to stimulate interest and participation throughout the Stark County Area and beyond by expanding, supporting, and elevating the level of play in the area for all youth rugby teams through clinics and events for participants to grow their rugby skills, and promoting rugby culture - teamwork, respect, enjoyment, discipline, and sportsmanship - to help grow better players and people. In 2023, the Canton Rugby Women's team was established as an opportunity for our youth girl players to have an opportunity to remain a part of our program long after finishing school.
